Anti-Scam & Safe Payments
Practical checks to help clients, partners and visitors verify communications and avoid impersonation.
Last updated: 21 October 2026Verify the business before paying
Use the contact details published on blackshepherd.co.ke. Confirm the scope, written quotation, invoice, recipient name and payment instructions through an established contact before making a payment. If payment details change, verify using a known phone number rather than replying only to the message announcing the change.
Keep security secrets private
Do not share passwords, one-time codes, M-Pesa PINs, card PINs or recovery codes in public comments or general enquiry forms. Agree a suitable access-sharing method for project work. A logo or portfolio listing alone is not proof that a payment request is genuine.
Watch for impersonation
Check spelling in website domains and email addresses. Treat urgent requests to bypass normal approval, unusual personal accounts and unsolicited remote-access requests cautiously. Social media names and profile pictures can be copied.
Report suspicious activity
If you suspect impersonation, stop the conversation and contact info@blackshepherd.co.ke or +254 796 184 063 using the details on this site. Preserve relevant messages and transaction references. If money has been sent, promptly contact your bank or payment provider and the appropriate authorities.
No absolute protection promise
These checks reduce risk but cannot eliminate fraud or guarantee recovery of funds. Never rely on a website statement as a substitute for independent verification of a recipient or transaction.
